About this Conference

A multidisciplinary conference exploring the integration of human and AI capabilities in translation, interpreting, and multilingual communication. The event focuses on ethical aspects, digital accessibility, and the evolving role of language professionals in the era of AI technologies.

Call for Papers

Convergence 2026 invites submissions of two paper types: Full papers (max 8 pages) describing original completed research, and Short papers (max 4 pages) describing work in progress. Papers should be formatted in ACL two-column style and address conference themes related to AI in translation, interpreting, and language mediation. PhD students are encouraged to submit. Each submission will be reviewed by three Programme Committee members.
